My latest book ‘Maria’s War’ will be published early in 2027 by Otter Barry Books.

It tells the true story of a young Polish Catholic girl who is caught up in the events of World War Two when the German soldiers invade her mountain town. Eventually she ends up as a prisoner in the notorious Auschwitz Concentration Camp, surviving cold, hunger and the terrible brutality of the camp.

The book is aimed at children from 11 years old, and is a natural follow-on from Peter in Peril, teaching children about the dangers of right-wing ideologies and the importance of kindness.
